King’s Day 2025 in Doetinchem
On April 26, the Netherlands celebrated the King’s birthday in the festive and welcoming city of Doetinchem. The city was packed with visitors and took center stage in the national spotlight. Behind the scenes, a large team had been working for months to ensure everything ran smoothly on this special day — and Vinke Vision played a crucial role.
Where everything comes together. And keeps moving
Commissioned by the Municipality of Doetinchem, Vinke Vision was responsible for the complete organization surrounding safety and mobility for the event. We worked in close collaboration with the safety region, SGBO Police, the Royal House Service, the Government Information Service (RVD), and the Royal and Diplomatic Security Service (DKDB).
From drafting all (safety) plans to delivering and placing over 3,000 barriers — our team managed the overview and got the job done. We provided all technical drawings and took charge of crewhandling for the entire operation. That meant supporting over 4,000 individuals — from volunteers to VIPs — with everything they needed to fulfill their roles. Whether it involved briefings, logistics, access, facilities, or last-minute questions: we made sure there was always a clear answer and a practical solution.
From 11 to 500 (and no one got lost)
Starting with a core team of 11 professionals, we scaled up to over 500 crew members. Together, we delivered a broad range of essential services: from crowd management, security, and medical support (in collaboration with the lifeguard association), to crew catering, sanitation, and setting up and managing the central production office.
It’s always gezellig in the Achterhoek
Together with the Municipality of Doetinchem and many partners, we created a day filled with connection, celebration, and lasting memories. An experience that will echo for a long time to come — the kind of day you’ll still be talking about later over a cold beer.
